The Conine All-Star Golf Classic has captured many great moments over the years. A variety of professional athletes and celebrities have played and supported Joe DiMaggio Children’s Hospital and the Conine Clubhouse. The Conine Clubhouse
The Conine All-Star Golf Classic, hosted by former major league baseball player Jeff Conine and his wife, Cindy, was started back in 1995 with proceeds benefitting Joe DiMaggio Children’s Hospital. After three years of success, the decision was made to direct funds specifically to the then Visitor’s Clubhouse, a place where families can stay free of charge while their child receives long-term treatment in the hospital.
In 2000, the Conine’s youngest son was born two months premature and after an extensive stay at a local hospital, he was taken home only to develop a virus. The Conine’s took their son to Joe DiMaggio Children’s Hospital, and Cindy ended up staying at Visitor’s Clubhouse for nine days while he successfully fought off the virus.
“Cindy and I know firsthand the importance of being close to the hospital and to your child,” said Jeff. “The Clubhouse provides all the amenities of a three-star hotel but, more importantly, gives families a temporary place to call home when they need it most.”
In 2003, following the Marlins World Series Championship, the Visitor’s Clubhouse was renamed the Conine Clubhouse, in honor of Jeff & Cindy’s fundraising efforts of then over $1 million to the facility.
To date, the Conine All-Star Golf Classic has raised more than $7 million to completely fund the operating expenses of the Conine Clubhouse each year. Over 25,000 families have resided at the Conine Clubhouse since its inception in 1997.

Howard J. Zimmerman was a businessman, developer, and co-founder of the Conine All-Star Golf Classic with Jeff & Cindy Conine. His name has lived on through the Legacy Club.
The Howard J. Zimmerman Legacy Club honors teams, sponsors and founding members who have participated in the Conine All-Star Golf Classic for more than a decade.

Marshall Weinberg was a founding member of the Conine All-Star Golf Classic. His spirit and energy were an inspiration to all of us. He will forever be in our hearts for what he has given to the event and the Conine Clubhouse.
The First & Second Place Awards have been named in honor of Marshall Weinberg as the champion he was.
JOE DIMAGGIO CHILDREN’S HOSPITAL
Joe DiMaggio Children’s Hospital is the leading and only free-standing children’s hospital in Broward and Palm Beach Counties, providing state-of-the-art healthcare and treating everything from minor illnesses to trauma-related accidents and organ transplantation. The Hollywood-based facility combines advanced technology and the expertise of the most diverse collection of pediatric board-certified specialists in the region–all in a caring, compassionate setting designed specifically for children.
Designed around the “power of play” as a healing force and environment, the hospital opened its doors in July 2011 as a care destination offering a wide scope of signature pediatric critical and specialty services.
- Over 10,000 patients are admitted each year and a significant number of patients travel from outside of Broward County seeking out centers of excellence and expert medical, surgical, intensive, and overall pediatric care.
- JDCH has the busiest Pediatric Emergency Department in Broward and Palm Beach Counties with over 110,000 visits in our 3 emergency departments at our main location in Hollywood and Memorial Hospital West and Memorial Hospital Miramar. It is the only Level 1 Pediatric Trauma Center in South Broward County.
- Designated by the State of Florida Department of Health Children’s Medical Services as a Center of Excellence, JDCH offers Pediatric specialized services such as Pediatric Orthopedics, Sports Medicine and Rehabilitation Medicine – one of the largest programs in southeastern US; Pediatric Hematology/Oncology, Cardiac Surgery/Catheterization including Heart Transplantation, Craniofacial,
